about me

Illustrator, writer, and seltzer drinker living in Western Massachusetts. For a few decades between ages 4 and 40 I did all my work in traditional media — charcoal, pen and ink, oils — before switching over to a mostly digital practice after becoming a dad (it was easier to draw in bed with sleeping kids once I got rid of the easel).

Since then I’ve created a greeting card line, produced a series of National Park posters for creative software company Pixite (maker of Zinnia, Pigment, and other apps), and done work featured in Simon & Schuster book launches as well as the Designers Against Coronavirus coffee table book to benefit the Italian Red Cross.

I do still work traditionally as well — my daughter Frankie and I share sketchbooks that she staples together out of drawing paper. I steal most of my better ideas from her.
