Anyone who has used Apple’s iPod/Music app has had it happen: you’re in the middle of a song when you try to get back to your artist list by tapping the Back button (going from Song to Album to Artist and so on) but when you get to the list, the Back button becomes a Store button, and—too goddamn late, you just tapped it again, didn’t you? And now you’re in iTunes, where you never want to be.

Not anymore. In iOS 6, you have to tap that Store button twice to leave the Music app, which is going to cut down on my cursing considerably. And once again, Apple shows that the beauty is in the details.
